I'm Kristen J Murray, a photographer and filmmaker who spends much of the year in the field documenting upland and waterfowl hunting, the sporting lifestyle, and the beloved bird dogs at the heart of it all.
When I'm not behind the camera, I'm usually hunting with my Brittany, Cedar, teaching photography in Scotland, or somewhere outdoors, pondering if I really need one more gun dog. (The answer is always yes.)
The best work comes from being part of the story. As a hunter myself, I know when to raise the camera and when to let the moment breathe. Some things are worth documenting. Others are worth experiencing exactly as they happen.
The result is imagery that feels honest to the people, dogs, and traditions that keep us coming back season after season.
