Speed Edit: Kona at Tredegar Iron Works in RVA

Taking the photo of your pup is only the beginning to creating a wonderful piece of artwork featuring your best friend. Let’s use this photo of my girl, Kona, down at Tredegar Iron Works in Richmond as an example.

Straight out of the camera

This is the photo you may see on the back of the camera. It’s first imported into Lightroom for color correction and cropping. This is where any adjustments for exposure, highlights & shadows, white balance, and more, will take place.

The Final Edits

It then goes into Photoshop for cleaning & polishing. This is when I remove any leashes and distractions and put the finishing touches on your image.

This process can take anywhere from minutes to hours, depending on location and whether any advanced editing is needed. (Things like combining images, head-swaps, or sky replacements.)

Press PLAY to view the speed edit. This entire image took 25 minutes from start to finish.
