Houlagans' Rest Adoptable Dogs

If you’re in need of a loving pup to spend the rest of their life with, look no further than Houlagans’ Rest.

Tucked away in the country is an animal sanctuary beaming with dogs just waiting for their forever home. The day after Thanksgiving, I teamed up with Heather. of Heather Strack Photography, to photograph 28 of their adoptable pups.

Houlagans’ Rest is no-kill sanctuary where pups who cannot be adopted are able to live out their days, loved by all the volunteers who care for them. You can find them at adoption stands in Midlothian at the Petco at Westchester Commons, the Southern States on Alverser Drive, or the Carmia Way Petsmart the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month.

They also host Hike a Houlagan, a hiking program at Powhatan State Park. Grab your hiking shoes and sign up to take one of these pups on an outdoor adventure through the park. You’ll both have a blast and maybe become new best friends!
